Born in 1994, Tokimeki Memorial is the monument of Japanese dating sims — the game that defined the genre and hit its 30th anniversary in 2024. Now it's back in the most unexpected form: clothing.
UACG, the culture project from BEAUTY&YOUTH UNITED ARROWS, has chosen Tokimeki Memorial for its first-ever video game collection, dropping August 7, 2026.
Wait, What Is UACG?

UACG stands for "UA" plus "ANIME," "COMIC," and "GAME" — United Arrows' label for reinterpreting Japanese pop culture as serious fashion. Their stated concept: anime T-shirts that don't get consumed. Not a character slapped on cotton, but the heat of a work translated into clothes that hold up as clothes. Past collabs include the legendary music manga BECK; this is their fourth collection and first time tackling a game.
Wearing Pixel Art and Program Code

UACG TM BASIC T | 8,800 yen (S/M/L/XL)
The motifs this time aren't character faces — they're the game's program code and pixel art. The texture of a 90s CRT screen, rebuilt on fabric through layered silkscreen and laser printing. The idea is translating "the experience of playing" into a garment.

UACG SHIORI S/S SKP PO | 24,200 yen (S/M)
A pullover named after Shiori Fujisaki, the legendary heroine every 90s Japanese gamer once chased. If you know, you know instantly. If you don't, it's just a beautifully made top. That double life is exactly what a great culture piece should be.

UACG TM DENIM PLEATS SK | 24,200 yen (S/M)
A pleated denim skirt — a school-uniform silhouette rebuilt in denim. The statement piece of the lineup.

RAW JAPAN's Takeaway
The era when wearing an anime shirt took courage is over. Rendered in code and pixels, Tokimeki Memorial reads as minimal graphic design to strangers and as pure adolescence to those who spent 1994 chasing Shiori. That double meaning is UACG at its best. The Solamachi store sits right under Tokyo Skytree, so if you're visiting Japan, you can hit the pop-up (through Aug 18) and the observation deck in one trip.
