LABUBU Is Coming to Sanrio Puroland: The First-Ever Collab Takes Over Halloween Event "PUROMONSTER SCRAMBLE" from Sept 11

The world's most impossible-to-get monster is finally invading Sanrio's home turf.

LABUBU, the POP MART character behind a full-blown global craze, is teaming up with Sanrio Puroland in Tama, Tokyo for the first time ever. The Halloween event "PUROMONSTER SCRAMBLE" runs from September 11 through November 3, 2026.

The event logo literally reads "LABUBU × SANRIO PUROLAND." That jagged-toothed rabbit-eared gremlin, sharing a stage with Hello Kitty and Kuromi — what a time to be alive.

New to LABUBU? A 30-Second Primer

LABUBU is the wildly popular POP MART character — a "cute but creepy" monster with pointed ears and a toothy grin. Its blind-box figures sell out worldwide, with lines and scalper wars everywhere. Celebrity endorsements poured fuel on the fire, and now a LABUBU on a store shelf lasts about as long as ice cream in August.

This is LABUBU's first collaboration with Sanrio — and it's happening at Halloween, the festival of monsters. The match could not be more perfect.

LABUBU Joins the 360-Degree Immersive Live Show

The centerpiece is "PUROMONSTER SCRAMBLE PARTY," a 360-degree immersive live show where Sanrio characters in monster costumes take the stage — joined by LABUBU throughout the event period.

The production crew is stacked: voice performance by Subaru Kimura, main theme by FAKE TYPE., choreography and direction by Harris. The theme is "KAWAII × MONSTER HALLOWEEN" — fluffy neon monsters running wild.

The characters' new costumes have been revealed too. Bad Badtz-Maru goes full Frankenstein, stitches and neck bolts included. The bad attitude has never fit a costume better.

On the food side: the "LABUBU and PUROMONSTER's Cool-Cute! Annin-Peach Parfait" (1,000 yen) — an almond-tofu parfait piled with peaches and topped with a pick featuring the whole monster crew.

There's more monster-grade food too: Hangyodon's Tandoori Chicken Blue Curry (1,700 yen), Cinnamoroll's pancake-and-milk-pudding parfait (1,000 yen), and Bad Badtz-Maru's craft cola (900 yen).

Fair Warning: The Boat Ride Turns Into a Horror Show

It's not all kawaii. For the Halloween period, the beloved Sanrio Character Boat Ride transforms into a horror version called "Norowaré Piero" (Cursed Clowns), supervised by "Obaken" — the hardcore haunted-house collective from Tokyo's Honancho. The park's own warning label calls it "an attraction with fright effects," so plan accordingly if you're bringing small kids.

A limited-time photo spot appears at the 3F entrance, and event-themed general goods are on offer too — a Hello Kitty mascot plush (3,960 yen), a Kuromi headband (3,850 yen), and more.
