Godiva × NANA!? Nana and Hachi Become "Bittersweet" Chocolixirs and It's Almost Too Perfect

Godiva, the king of chocolate, just announced its next collab partner — and it's NANA. Yes, that NANA.

If you just went "wait, NANA in 2026!?" — correct reaction. Ai Yazawa's legendary shojo manga has been on hiatus for over 15 years, and it still owns an entire generation's heart (48 million copies and counting). Now, for Godiva's 100th anniversary, the two are finally teaming up.

Godiva × NANA Chocolixir duo

The theme is "bittersweet" — which, if you know NANA, is basically the whole story in one word. The collection drops August 7, 2026 across Japan.

NANA in 30 Seconds (for the Uninitiated)

Two girls with the same name — Nana Osaki, a punk-rock vocalist with an ice-cold aura, and Nana "Hachi" Komatsu, a hopeless romantic — end up sharing Apartment 707 in Tokyo. Dreams, love, friendship, heartbreak: it all gets messy, beautifully.

Serialized from 2000, adapted into films and an anime, it is still the answer many people give to "which manga destroyed you emotionally?"

Nana Is Cherry, Hachi Is Strawberry

The stars of the collab: two character-inspired Chocolixirs.

Dark Chocolate Cherry (Nana Osaki)

Nana gets the Dark Chocolate Cherry — bitter dark chocolate topped with a red cherry, wrapped in a black-and-red plaid sleeve with her sticker on it. Cool, moody, exactly her.

Milk Chocolate Strawberry (Hachi)

Hachi gets the Milk Chocolate Strawberry — heart-shaped marshmallows, strawberry sauce, maximum sweetness. Also exactly her.

Both come in Regular for 870 yen (270mL) and Large for 980 yen (350mL). The correct way to order: bring your best friend, get both, and split them like Nana and Hachi would.
