Summer Anime “Gachiakuta” Premieres July 6! New Cast & Theme Songs Announced

The highly anticipated TV anime Gachiakuta is set to premiere on July 6, 2025, across 28 stations nationwide on the CBC/TBS network!
Alongside a brand-new PV and main visual, the production has revealed new cast members and both opening and ending theme songs.

What is Gachiakuta?

Climb out from the depths — to destroy this f*cked-up world.

Gachiakuta is a battle-action anime following Rudo, a boy born in the slums, home to the descendants of criminals.
The series is based on the manga written by Kei Urana, with graffiti design by Hideyoshi Andou, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) in February 2022.
It received the Global Special Prize in the 2022 Next Manga Awards (Comics Category).

While developing the concept, Urana believed incorporating graffiti would take the story to the next level — and thus teamed up with Andou, a professional graffiti artist.

The enemies? Common sense. Authority. Prejudice.
This explosive hit manga finally hits TV screens starting July 2025. The anime is produced by BONES FILM.

Main Visual & PV Unveiled!

The new PV delivers intense action, beautifully animated by BONES FILM and true to the raw energy of the original manga.
The main visual, newly drawn by character designer and chief animation director Satoshi Ishino, features Rudo, Enjin, Zanka, and Riyo standing together.

Theme Songs

  • Opening Theme: “HUGs” by Paledusk
  • Ending Theme: “Tomoshibi” by DUSTCELL

Both tracks were written specifically for the anime.
The opening “HUGs” already plays in the PV — and when it hits during the actual episodes? Guaranteed goosebumps.

New Cast Revealed

  • Jabber (a member of the villain group Arashiya): Yūki Shin

Global premieres, a long-awaited anime adaptation, and a stacked cast — Gachiakuta is unstoppable.
The gritty blend of slum life, graffiti, and no-holds-barred action has exploded onto the global stage across 15 countries. Underground fight club? This is way beyond that.
Personally, I’m especially hyped for Yūki Shin as Jabber. That voice, in a role like Arashiya? There’s no way that’s not going to be pure chaos in the best way.
