Karaage-kun... devoured by a shark!?

We found this wild Lawson × &Co. collab, so of course we had to buy it!

It was 7 AM during my son's summer break.
As usual, we headed to Lawson to grab some breakfast.

While I was reaching for my current obsession—the “Bulgaria Yogurt Rich (Shine Muscat & Apple)”—my son came running over, all fired up.

“&Co. is doing a collab with Karaage-kun!!”

I had no idea what that meant, but I followed him anyway...
Only to find a poor chicken about to be eaten by a shark!

On closer look, I realized it was one of those stretchy, glowing animal toys you often see in bookstores or at Don Quijote.
We’ve bought these before, but I just learned today that the actual product name is &Co., made by DeAgostini.

Apparently, this time Lawson is collaborating with &Co., and the theme is SHARKS.
And rumor has it that a super rare shark is out there... one that actually ate Karaage-kun!

Juicy, boneless, and beloved since 1986.

“Super Rare” and “Limited Edition”—those words get me every time.
So even though my son only wanted one, I hit the register with four, justifying it with the classic “Well, it’s summer vacation!”

Time to start the morning off with an unboxing.
First pack, here we go!

My son was genuinely hoping to find the shark that ate Karaage-kun.
Me? I just wanted that photo op. Different reasons, same goal.

Out comes... a blue shark! It glows in the dark—nice!
But that’s not the point. What matters is whether it ate Karaage-kun or not. Let's investigate.

Huh? Is that Nemo?? Nope—turns out it’s a glow-in-the-dark Catshark!
Even better, it changes color with temperature. This thing’s got dual powers!

But alas... no Karaage-kun in its belly either.

Checked the package—it’s a temperature-changing Tiger Shark!
Striped sides, and its belly’s packed with colorful beads. Honestly, it looks a bit ridiculous...
Didn’t expect much, but let’s check its gut anyway.

My son starts squishing it and says, “There’s something hard inside!”
Okay, let’s push that mystery lump out—GENTLY BUT FIRMLY!

That familiar chicken face!!!
This tiger shark definitely devoured Karaage-kun!
Mission complete. We’ve never felt more united as a parent-child team.

Final Pack (Pack 4)

Might as well open the last one.
Surprise! It’s a “Lawson Limited Color” version!!
Did not expect two rares in one go.
Though... this one's kinda grotesque.

Here’s the full lineup we pulled:
Got both the Karaage-kun and the Lawson-exclusive shark! Total jackpot.
The two in the middle also glow in the dark, so let’s light ’em up before we wrap this report.

We left them sunbathing in morning light for 5 minutes...
And somehow this ended up being the most photogenic and surreal image of the day.

After they were “fully charged,” we took them into the darkest room in the house—the bathroom.
